"Parthenocissus quinquefolia Engelmannii", auch Wildes Wingerd, ist eine schnell wachsende, selbstadhäsive Kletterpflanze. Auch muss er nicht gefesselt werden. Das drei punktierte Blatt ist im Sommer grün und hat eine schöne, leuchtend rote Herbstverfärbung. Dank der starken Klebstoffwurzeln wächst der Flingspunkt schnell und steckt gegen Fassade und Zaun. Im Winter verliert er sein Blatt, kann aber harte Winter überleben. Es ist eine einfache Pflanze, die sowohl in der Sonne als auch im Schatten stehen kann.
